Energy [prana, chi, ki] - the basic source of all life.

REI - KI, the word, is Japanese. It is written with two kanji characters, referring to universal life force or spiritual energy. Nearly every known culture has healing traditions and practises using universal life force energy. It has always been present and when we allow ourselves to become aware, we recognise that energy doesn’t belong to a place or religion, it is equal, the basic source of all life on Earth.

While Traditional Healers in Australia have used ‘Hands on Healing’ for tens of thousands of years, REIKI’s origin is Japanese, developed and taught by Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s. Usui Shiki Ryoho is a specific form of Reiki practice described by Four Aspects and Nine Elements, honouring the Spiritual Lineage of Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto and Johannes Reindl.

Learn the Usui System of Reiki Healing

At Biota in Harmony, Reiki Master Anja Lewis teaches Reiki as per the Usui Shiki Ryoho System of Reiki Healing honouring the Life, Teachings and Practices of Mikao Usui. Anja’s Usui Reiki Lineage connects via her Reiki Master Roger Weston, Greg Williamson, Wanya Twan, Hawayo Takata, Churijo Hayashi to Mikao Usui.

Reiki is not so much learned, as passed on from the Reiki Teacher to the student. Traditionally this is achieved by a combination of in person Teachings if form of discussions and story sharing; Initiations - energy attunements - connecting the student to the Reiki energy for a lifetime; and Practical experience including self-practice, treatments received from other Reiki students and treatment to others.

Anja is a registered professional member and Reiki teacher at the Reiki Association of Western Australia.

REIKI 1 COURSES IN PERTH

A Reiki 1 course is held over two days on a weekend (9am to 4pm) or alternatively three half-days on weekdays (9am to 1.30pm). The course fee is $350 per person. REIKI 2 COURSES IN PERTH

For Reiki 1 students and practitioners who are seeking to expand their Reiki training, I’m teaching Reiki Level 2 with classes starting in August 2026. A Reiki 2 class is held over 1.5 days for an exchange fee of $400 per person.

Reiki 2 Class Dates: 8th + 9th August, 1st + 2nd September, 17th + 18th October and 12th + 13th November.
